Terms of Service

1. Introduction & Acceptance

rewriteai ("we", "us", or "our") provides an AI-powered writing platform, including paraphrasing, grammar checking, AI content detection, summarization, translation, plagiarism checking, image generation, and AI chat tools, accessible at rewriteai.tech (the "Service").

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription plan, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you: (a) are at least 13 years of age; (b) have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms; (c) agree to our Privacy Policy; and (d) are authorized to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or any organization you represent.

⚠️ Important: If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. Continued use after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Service Description

rewriteai is a digital SaaS product. Payments confirm instantly and grant immediate access to the Service. Due to the immediate delivery nature of digital services, refunds are subject to the limitations described in Section 7.

This Service relies on third-party AI model providers, including but not limited to OpenAI GPT-4o for text generation, Anthropic Claude for text processing, and Flux for image generation. Service performance and availability may be affected by those providers' operational status. We do not guarantee specific output quality from any AI model.

3. Account Registration

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
  • Immediately report unauthorized use at support@rewriteai.tech.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use rewriteai to:

  • Generate illegal, defamatory, harassing, or fraudulent content
  • Generate or distribute deepfake content, including AI-synthesized audio, video, or images that impersonate real individuals or intend to mislead viewers about their origin or authenticity
  • Generate content that depicts, sexualizes, or exploits minors (children under 18)
  • Produce malware, phishing content, or cyberattack tools
  • Infringe any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights
  • Bypass or interfere with the Service's security features
  • Resell or sublicense access without written authorization
  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or card network rules

AI Merchant Prohibitions. Given the AI nature of this Service, you also agree not to:

  • Use the Service's inputs, outputs, model responses, or any derivative data to train, fine-tune, benchmark, or distil any AI or machine learning model that directly or indirectly competes with rewriteai
  • Massively or systematically scrape, extract, or collect model outputs for any purpose beyond your authorized personal use
  • Present AI-generated content as output from a human professional (e.g., licensed physician, attorney, or financial advisor)

5. Plans & Billing

rewriteai offers subscription plans billed on a recurring basis. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled. You expressly authorize rewriteai to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Plan details and current pricing are available at /pricing.

6. Billing & Payment

  • Payments are processed securely through Waffo, our PCI-DSS compliant payment provider and Merchant of Record. We never store full credit card numbers on our servers.
  • By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method at the agreed-upon rate. Your subscription renews automatically unless canceled before the end of the current billing period.
  • All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

7. Refund Policy

  • Within 7 days, unused subscription: Full refund if subscription has not been used within 7 days of purchase.
  • Duplicate charges: Full refund for any duplicate charges caused by billing errors.
  • After 7 days or used subscription: No refunds, except as required by applicable law (e.g., EU/UK 14-day cooling-off right for first-time buyers, which expires upon first use).

To request a refund, contact support@rewriteai.tech with your account email and transaction ID.

8. Billing Disputes

If you believe a charge is in error, please contact support@rewriteai.tech before disputing it with your bank. We commit to responding within 2 business days and resolving confirmed billing errors within 5 business days.

9. AI Content & Intellectual Property

  • Your output: AI content generated from your inputs belongs to you, for any lawful use permitted under these Terms.
  • Your input license: By submitting content to the Service, you grant rewriteai a limited, non-exclusive license solely to provide the Service. We will not use your input content to train AI models without your explicit consent.
  • AI output accuracy: AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying output before relying on it.

10. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy. Account data is retained for 90 days after account deletion, then deleted. Payment card data is handled exclusively by Waffo and is never stored on our servers.

11. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Disclaimer. The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

⚠️ AI Output Disclaimer. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Do not use it for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice without independent verification.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, rewriteai's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are involved in fraudulent activity. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@rewriteai.tech.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Before filing formal proceedings, please contact us at legal@rewriteai.tech to attempt informal resolution.

14. General Provisions

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated at least 14 days in advance via email. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
